State College is home to Penn State College, one of Pennsylvania’s most prestigious institutions. With this great school comes a large number of college students and other community members that are looking to enjoy their time here. Luckily for us, State College has plenty of indoor and outdoor activities that will keep us amused the next time we’re bored. Enjoy the College Activities
Penn State University also has some pretty neat things to do here in State College. The main campus is filled with nice spots to take pictures of or explore.
If you ever have the time, go and support our local Nittany Lions at any of the sport events. Penn State University has some of the most versatile and upcoming athletes in the Pennsylvania area. Every team is worth watching as they always give the crowd a great show. No matter if our Nittany Lions win or lose, the crowd is always supporting our local athletes.

For years, the Berkey Creamery has been dedicated to discovering the best flavors of ice cream for everyone to enjoy. They love to create fun new flavors that will have everyone wanting more. The creamery even goes as far to deliver ice cream to those who order a certain amount out of state! You might want to check out what all the fuss is about.

The Arboretum at Penn State University is home to many beautiful sceneries you won’t want to miss. It’s perfect for those of you who are nature fanatics and for those who love taking beautiful pictures. If you’re a State College local, try visiting the arboretum seasonally so that you can witness the beauty of all four seasons.

The Penn State Golf Courses has plenty of green for you to enjoy a few rounds of golf. The golf course allows you to book tee times in advance so you won’t be struggling later. They also have some internet specials for those of you who love golfing.

Shaver’s Creek has some great trails for everyone, especially the children. It’s a nice place to explore and experience nature in a safe environment. It’s also a spot where Penn State students take classes and elementary schools have summer camps.

The Palmer Museum of Art has some of the finest art collections in Pennsylvania. Go out and enjoy the museum’s collection of over 8,850 objects from many cultures. You can also join the tours and learn about the rich cultures that contribute to the Palmer Museum’s exhibitions.

Old Main is one of Penn State’s oldest buildings on the ground today. It’s a good place to admire and see just how much Penn State has changed since the early 1900s.

The Penn State Nittany Lion Shrine was a gift from the class of 1940. Today, it is Penn State’s most popular site on campus. It’s also a great sculpture to take pictures with.

This nature center is home to plenty of local wildlife in Pennsylvania. There’s plenty of room for everyone to wander and discover the different types of species that inhabit this great state. Lederer Park is a nice small-town park where you can enjoy some time out with friends or family. It includes some walking paths, an arboretum, and picnic areas for everyone to enjoy. It’s also a great spot to visit if you want to go outside but want a little more shade.

You can head over to Tudek Memorial Park and enjoy a nice round of friendly sports. For those of you who own pets, Tudek Memorial Park has a nice dog park. This destination also has a community garden and butterfly garden for everyone to explore. There’s a reason why this park is known throughout the region. Taking your children to Discovery Space can be beneficial to you in the long run. It’s a great place for children to learn interactively about plenty of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) subjects. Just make sure to check their admission page for information on prices.

Our local military museum is an honorable tribute to all of the soldiers who are currently serving and once served our country. It’s a great place to learn about the history of the United States in a fun way. The museum usually hosts guided tours and special events for our community. It’s a great spot to learn about our past in order to be well prepared for the future.

Tussey Mountain is a recreational center that’s constantly hosting some fun events every State College local won’t want to miss. It also offers fun go-karts, mini-golf, batting cages, a skate park, a driving range, and golf courses. This spot is truly a place to relax and have a good time with the community. Tussey Mountain also offers daily lessons and intramural activities for the community. Don’t wait to have some fun and head over to Tussey Mountain.
